the norse saga will conclude with two games

Developers from Sony’s Santa Monica studio discussed the challenges of completing the Norse God of War saga in two games. The release of Ragnarok, coming to PS4 and PS5 next month, will complete the Norse story that began with the reboot of the 2018 God of War series.

But the project could very well be the second game in a three-part story, and not the final chapter, as the developers said.

Last September, Barlog said that Santa Monica decided to end God of War’s Norse story in two games because each game was long in development and he didn’t want players to have to wait 15 years to play the entire trilogy.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Santa Monica lead community manager Grace Arlodi revealed that the new series of Ragnarök behind-the-scenes videos will be released in nine installments, each one “diving into one aspect of the game, from shaping the story and leveling up the combat to creating the score and creating the cinematics . “.
