Kanye West Is Buying Conservative Social Media Platform Parler To Express His Unfiltered Opinions

Good.

Well then I guess we have to cover Kanye West’s move to acquire ‘free speech’ social media app Parler after getting banned from any other social media app.

So the story goes like this: Over the last two weeks, Kanye West (or just ‘Ye’, as he now apparently calls himself) has apparently deliberately pushed his limits on both Twitter and Instagram by posting terribly offensive comments. and anti-Semites that we will not publish here again.

Ye was then banned from both apps, though in the midst of being banned from both, incoming Twitter boss Elon Musk sought to provide some support for the rap star.

This probably doesn’t bode well for upcoming changes to Twitter, though Musk clearly doesn’t support Ye’s comments either. It remains to be seen if he plans to have a private chat with every user who posts offensive tweets, instead of banning them.

So Ye posts wrong and offensive things, which clearly break the rules on each app, and is subsequently suspended from both. which you say:

“When I got kicked off Instagram and Twitter at the time, I knew it was time to get my own platform. People had talked about it and mentioned this idea for years, but enough was enough.”

I don’t know who spoke or mentioned it, but that led to Ye. move to acquire Parlerwhich, at least at one stage, had been the new home for free speech advocates who were upset that they weren’t allowed to say offensive things on other apps.

ace for talking:

Parliament Technologies announced today that it has reached an agreement in principle to sell Parler, the world’s pioneering unstoppable free speech platform, to Ye (formerly known as Kanye West). Ye has become the richest black man in history through music and apparel and is taking a bold stance against his recent Big Tech censorship, using his wide-ranging talents to further lead the fight to create a truly incancellable environment.

So yes, Kanye West is the owner of his own social media platform now. He should be fine.

Parler, of course, has had its fair share of controversies and challenges as the most ‘uncancelable’ platform.

After reaching the top of the download charts on late 2020As conservative users sought a more open discussion platform in response to what they saw as censorship in major social apps, Parler continually circumvented various regulations and rules about what it could allow in its app, consistent with hosting provider parameters. and platforms

Just a few months later, in the wake of the Capitol riots (January 2021), Parler was nearly assassinated when both Apple and Google removed the app from their respective stores due to his lax moderation, which had allowed too many messages that encouraged violence and crime. Amazon then also refused to host Parler on its web hosting service due to repeated violations of its rules.

Parler was saved by deploying some moderation concessions, to align with the requirements of each platform, which unsurprisingly caused some discomfort within its core user base. And when the app was also found to be censoring certain posts, and delete certain userscritics quickly activated the app, accusing it of being no better than other platforms at submitting to censorship rules, against its spirit of free speech.

However, despite the majority of its target audience eventually switching to the Trump-owned Truth Social, Parler still has around 725,000 active users, according to statistics provided by data.ai. That’s a big drop from the 5.2 million users it had at its peak, but then again, maybe with a famous owner to promote it, Parler will recapture users’ interest and go back to being semi- semi-relevant once again. .

I mean, it’s bound to become relevant as a rarity, and Kanye is likely to post some absurdly offensive updates on his own app.

That appears to be a way, once again, to further ban the app store, effectively canceling the non-cancellable app a second time.

Maybe that’s the point? Perhaps West is trying to show that his views will be surveilled no matter where he goes, silenced by the faceless overseers who seek to sanitize our thoughts and control our minds for the maintenance of an orderly society.

In which case, I suspect you’ll be successful, though not for the reasons you think.

It would be an expensive statement piece either way.

Look, I don’t know what’s going through Ye’s head, no one knows. West’s public behavior has been erratic for years, and there seem to be at least some ongoing concerns for his well-being and state of mind among those closest to him.

As such, I hope you can find whatever you need in this new project, without causing harm or offending others in the process.

But the indicators do not point in a good direction.
