Samsung and TikTok have teamed up to announce StemDrop, a new tool for recording and mixing music. Stems are the “building blocks” of a music track, broken down into vocals, drums and bass, and TikTok will add them to the StemDrop mixer to help anyone tinker with songs.
StepDrop’s new feature will highlight popular user-generated tracks weekly to help young musicians reach a wider audience.
Music artists Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ali Payami have collaborated on a new song that will be released exclusively on the short music video platform StemDrop. Once the track is live, users will be able to remix the track and upload their own covers. StemDrop will launch on October 26th.
