Mighty Bear Games will give away free MightyNet Genesis Pass Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) for their upcoming Mighty Action Heroes Web3 game.

The game is coming later this year, but Mighty Bear Games will release NFTs to their community first. Those NFTs will be free and available to 25,000 people who have crypto wallets and are on Mighty Bear’s “allow list.” That list has been selected to include long-term NFT holders from at least two pioneering collections in the NFT gaming space.

Instead of finding players who acquire NFTs and then immediately trying to sell them for a profit, Mighty Bear Games wants to reward those who keep NFTs. In total, the company had 1,337 NFTs on the Ethereum chain at first launch. Simon Davis, CEO of Mighty Bear Games in Singapore, said in a previous interview that the company wants to win over loyal members of the community and make NFTs useful.

Founded in 2016 (from the ashes of Nonstop Games) by a diverse group of industry veterans with experience at King, Ubisoft, Lucasarts, Disney and Gameloft, Mighty Bear Games has a proven track record of developing highly engaging games that attract to universal audiences. The team has thrown five games in the last four years. Davis said that he first wanted to make an outstanding game and harness the benefits of NFTs with utility for players.

The studio is launching its free MightyNet Genesis Pass, seeding its community with the best and most engaged members across Web3 and Gaming to form the foundation of MightyNet and kick-start their community ahead of the PFP collection and game release in Early Access on the end of this year.

Rewarding the Web3 and Gaming communities, MightyNet Genesis Pass will be available exclusively to the Mighty Bear Allow List from previous games such as CryptoPunk, Bored Ape Yacht Club, CloneX, Moonbirds, Cool Cats and more.

MightyNet is set to be a highly competitive ecosystem and Mighty Bear would like to invite the best Web3 esports players to join. Players from these games will be awarded slots on the allowed list, with the top players earning a guaranteed spot on the allowed list.

The first private minting of the guaranteed allowed list will take place on November 5 at 11 am Pacific time. The second allow list mint will be on November 6 at 11 am Pacific time. Public minting, if supply remains, will take place on November 9 at 11 am Pacific Time.

MightyNet Genesis Pass Benefits

Mighty Bear Games is giving away NFTs.

MightyNet Genesis Pass holders will get early access to all MightyNet games, including Mighty Action Heroes.

They’ll also be among the first to see new features and content, get sneak peeks, and get dibs on the first batch of NFT releases when the games launch.

Blocking Benefits

Genesis Pass holders will be able to lock their pass to unlock rewards such as supply crates for Mighty Action Heroes. As Mighty Bear releases more NFT collections and games, these NFTs can also be wagered for rewards. He is one of the first to start accumulating points and start earning MightyNet rewards.

Ecosystem Benefits

They will also be automatically allowed on the allow list for upcoming MightyNet collections and games. They will also receive exclusive in-game benefits such as cosmetics and skins, with more benefits to be implemented in the future.

The team is building Mighty Action Heroes, a third-person real-time multiplayer Web3 Arena Battler with an emphasis on fun, skill, and mayhem.

I asked Mighty Bear a few questions via email, including how this started.

“At Mighty Bear, we believe that Web3 has the potential to change gaming forever, both through its player ownership model and the strength of its thriving communities,” said Davis. “Community is everything at Web3 and this is our way of contributing to it, giving the best, most influential and most competitive gamers something to congregate.”

Davis said the team has been figuring out how everything fits together at MightyNet since they began developing Mighty Action Heroes in early Q1 2022. As a Web3 game, Mighty Action Heroes is designed to be part of a larger ecosystem, and the company is building it to work with more exciting things to come, he said.

“I’ve been involved in the space since early 2018, and even then there was already a discussion about how games can help bring the next billion users to Web3,” Davis said. “When our team first discussed developing a Web3 game back in 2018, we felt that the path forward to build a great native Web3 game was going to be too risky for a studio of our size, given the state of the space in that moment. Now, with our team growing substantially and having learned from the first wave of NFT games, we feel we are in a great position to capitalize on the growth and interest in the space.”

Davis said the company’s recent $10 million funding round was intended to support a multi-game ecosystem.

“Player ownership means nothing if it’s limited to a single game; he has to go further,” he said. “A lot of teams in the web3 space now talk a lot about interoperability, but very few of these teams have figured out how to actually do it. The truth is that if we don’t start with a proof of concept within our own ecosystem and show that it can be done well, it will be difficult to get other developers on board.”

He added, “But regardless of what we’re looking for, we’re focusing on Mighty Action Heroes first. We want to make sure we offer the best possible game to show the ability of the team; after all, we’ve released five games in the last four years together. Our goal is to build something that has a little more Web3 longevity than the average play-to-win game, and impact the Web3 space in more ways than one.”
